This part of your course will take approximately 6 hours to complete – but this can be completed at times convenient to yourself and will not be needed to be completed all at once.
First Aid First Training offer comprehensive courses to help your staff gain vital knowledge at their own time and pace, in addition this will provide an invaluable reference tool for consolidating learning and clear, helpful additional information for those who have already attended a practical course.
There are multiple choice test yourself questions at the end of each topic and will need to be completed satisfactorily before you are able to move on. Tests can be retaken at any time.
You can complete the course at different times and it will remember how far you have got.
This course covers the full syllabus specified by Ofsted for child carers and is also suitable for those wishing to gain the theoretical knowledge to accompany the Practical First Aid course in order to comply with the Ofsted requirements for a 12 hour course to fulfil the Ofsted and Early Years Foundation specifications for those working with children under 12 in a child care setting.
This course does not seek to replace the practical element but offers blended learning allowing you to undertake the on-line training at a time and pace that suits you and then book onto one of our one day rather than two day, practical courses. Please ensure that your council accepts this blended learning.
On satisfactory completion of this course and the practical sessions you will receive a nationally recognised qualification and be a certified Paediatric First Aider which is valid for 3 years.
The Health and Safety executive highly recommend an annual 3 hour refresher to help you maintain the skills you have acquired.
