Description

The course is complied with guidance from the NSPCC and can be delivered via distance learning. The course aims to teach delegates basic aspects of dealing with child protection issues such as  Physical, Emotional, Sexual and Neglect abuse and Bullying within an Educational environment.

Objectives

On completion of the course, delegates will be able to recognize and deal with:

  • Understanding the Basics
  • The different types of abuse
  • Recognizing Child Abuse
  • Identify the possible signs of abuse
  • How to Act if you suspect child abuse
  • Reporting Child Abuse
  • Dealing with the parents
  • Working Together
  • The legal framework
  • Your school’s responsibilities
  • Preventing allegations against staff

There are no Prerequisites for this course.

Suitability

The course is ideal for people who work with children or who come in contact with children on a regular basis.
